Cafe Domain has nabbed an enviable position in one of Melbourne's most distinguished locations. Directly opposite the Botanical gardens, this large double fronted cafe enjoys a naturally lush and tranquil ambiance. The culinary offering are rich and varied - a display cabinet hoards an enviable array of pastries, cakes, savoury wraps and foccacias, while the specials board chalks up an ever-changing selectio of salds and soups. The coffee is creamy, the juices are fresh, and there is an extensive wine list. With wicker chairs spread out on to the footpath and a well-stocked magazine rack, this is a popular breakfast destination and it is always crowded with business types and feasting local families. It also boasts computers, but it is no 'net cafe'. Though more casual than the neighbouring botanical, it is still a classy establishment, so be prepared for aesthetically evaluative glances from fellow patrons and staff.
